After serving the world a haute box of consistent fashion slay in office, Michelle Obama made our haute list at her final public appearance looking megawatts of stunning in an off the shoulder metallic floor-length number by Versace.
2. Olakunbi Oyelese-Tomori in April by Kunbi
The designer walked down the aisle in this breathtaking fairytale dream and we can all agree it lived on the tabloids. For that she deserves a place on the LV haute list.
3. Blake Lively in Atelier Versace (Best Dressed Nominee)
Blake reassured us in Atelier Versace that you can be pregnant and sexy all together. This Blue number is definitely one of Blake’s biggest fashion moments.
4. Rita Dominic in Lanre da Silva (Best Dressed Nominee)
Just when we thought Rita made us green with envy at the Africa Magic Viewer Choice Awards wearing Elvira Jude, She stunned like an old Hollywood familiar in Lanre da Silva.
5. Clare Danes in Custom Zac Posen (Best Dressed)
This is how you do high fashion in an age obsessed with technology. Clare gave us a beautiful insight of what it meant to be a sci-fi chic in a custom Zac Posen floor length number at the 2016 Met Gala and landed on everyone’s best dressed list, including LV’s haute list .
6. Yemi Alade in Zuhair Murad
Who will ever forget Yemi Alade’s Zuhair Murad dress that cost a whopping sum? While the cost must have raised brows, it is how she gives this pret-a-couture girly number some 90’s street cred with the bantu knot that has landed her on our haute list.
7. Richard Mofe Damijo in Taryor Gabriels Bespoke
When RMD scored major dapper notes at the AMVCA’s, we never knew Velvet was going to be the biggest texture for 2016. Richard wore a statement, made a statement, and looked statement in a bespoke piece by Taryor Gabriels Bespoke. Definitely haute list material!
8. Mercy Aigbe Gentry in Luminee Couture (Best Dressed Nominee)
The actress raised the red carpet standard with this unforgettable well thought out look to the Africa Magic Viewer Choice Awards earlier this year. Everything about this look was over the top perfection – in a good way.
9. Bonang Matheba in Mac Duggal
Television’s favorite fashionista sure slayed more than enough times this year but its this look in Mac Duggal that takes the lead. She gave the 1890’s pinup look a very glam translation so much it didn’t look dated and even if it did, everything just worked in sync.
10. Beverly Naya in Weiz Dhurm Franklyn (Best Dressed Nominee)
